Board Business

Highlights from the October 27 board meeting

• Membership: 128 members, 10 renewals.
• Dances: need music for February 4 and April 21. Karen Ideker will no longer be teaching the lesson.
• Reviewed activities for November.
• Continued planning for Christmas Dinner Dance. Discussed decorations. Sue will prepare the turkey, Ray, the ham; members bring a side dish or dessert to share.
• Discussed Bill’s ongoing discussions with liquor control board agents. Board members reviewed the banquet permit language, The issues appear to be advertising (newsletter, web site) and that we allow guests. Bill will continue to meet with LCB agents.
• Will continue doing the 50/50 at the second dance. Will raffle a gas card at the first dance.
• M/S/P reinstating reciprocal agreement with United Singles, for the president only. Presidents get in free to each other’s dances, expires March 31, 2012.
• M/S/P charge $6 admission between 7:00 and 7:30pm at the January 7, February 4, and March 3 dances.Need volunteers to help board members with set up and take down!!
