A Note from Your President ~
Dear Members ~
We have now started the new year, have completed two dances, and had fun dancing to Michael Crain and Casanova. The dances are maintaining around 80-100 dancers and have had good lessons on both ballroom and country dances from great instructors. Overall, the club is doing well.
Now it is your turn to continue to help us grow and still have fun. We focus on dancing but can also develop other venues. Does anyone have a specialty they like to do other than dancing, like hiking, biking, etc. We want to add more events to our calendar for the spring and summer months. Thanks for helping out.
Bill
Members: Please plan to attend the membership meeting before the March 17 dance! We will be discussing the future of SRC. Help us decide whether we will go forward and continue to grow or go away.
If you read your newsletter, you are aware that our membership numbers are decreasing, even though the dances are well attended. We need the revenue from membership dues to balance the budget. More importantly, we need to increase our dwindling membership numbers to ensure that our status as a non-profit organization continues so we don’t have to pay taxes.
You can help by promptly renewing your membership when it comes due! The renewal process has been simplified---you pay the same amount ($30) whether you are renewing on time or way past due. Another way you can help is to encourage our guests and your friends to join SRC.
Help us keep SRC alive and well! Don’t let SRC disappear!! Ask your friends to attend our dances. Pay your membership dues promptly. We have some awesome bands scheduled to play for our dances in the next few months. Where else can you find such a friendly, safe, and fun place to dance? With all of us working together, we can make SRC a great club again!
